Already Famous.

Finally, Eileen and I managed to catch this movie after wanting to watch it for so long. It was hilarious even before the movie started cause Eileen and I were discussing whether we should catch the movie at 5:25pm because our class ended at 3. In the end, Subrina lets us off at 2:30pm and we rushed all the way to the movie theater to catch the 3pm movie and made it in time.

Frankly speaking, Already Famous is a pretty simple movie with the main character having one clear goal - to become a famous actress. Though simple, that was the magic this movie had.
I think Michelle Chong did wonderful in both directing and acting for this movie. She really shone through Lee Kar Kiao or "Zann" and really made the character a little cliche yet realistic. For XiaoGui I really think he didn't really needed to act, cause all his silly grins were obviously just being himself. But awww, he was really cute and I couldn't help but to let out a silly grin myself. Though there was a obvious age difference (is there?),  the both were really sweet and their scenes together had really cute lines that had a pinch of those meaningful quotes and words to say. The ending was a little abrupt though and the pace for some of the parts were a little fast but overall I really liked it.

Had a snack with Eileen afterwards and headed home. During dinner, I talked to dad about where I went today and he said, "Next time, do your work." Seriously, after that moment, the feeling I had just now vanished and went down the drain. I have no idea why but he really ruin my mood. Now, I just feel fed up about projects in general. It's like I'm wasting my life away.

In fact, if Lee Kar Kiao was a true character, I really look up to her. Though I did not say it, I admit I was once like her, hoping to make it to the acting industry as fulfillment to my dream but even then, I called it an unrealistic dream. But come to think of it, perhaps it's because that is the best way to show what you're worth, the most public way. I don't knooow... maybe, maybe not?

Time to rush up Ms Lee wine packaging and infographics. Bleh.
